Membership Composition
The SBM UG Student Representative Committee is comprised of student members in the following categories:
Open Nomination
In order to recruit student members with different backgrounds to join our Committee, we reserve 3-4 vacancies through an open nomination. Mass voting will be held via online voting system in Fall or Spring terms whenever open-nominated membership ceases.
Program Nomination
We have nominations from programs, i.e. ACCT, BIBU, ECON, ECOF, FINA, GBUS, IS, MAEC, MGMT, MARK, OM, QFIN, RMBI, SGFN & WBB. If you wish to represent the fellows of your program, please contact the UG Program Coordinator of the related department.
Academic Affairs and Advising (AAA) Counselor Nomination
3-4 student representatives will be nominated by Academic Affairs and Advising (AAA) Counselors.
Business Student Union Nomination
1 student representative will be selected from the Business Student Union.

Online Suggestion and Feedback Form for SBM UG students
In order to foster communication and to facilitate the collection of feedback from students, an Online Suggestion and Feedback Form for SBM UG students was devised in Spring 2019 and all feedback collected would be reviewed by delegated student representatives periodically. A summary of feedback collected would be consolidated and reported at the Student Representative Committee meeting regularly for follow-up, as appropriate.
All SBM UG students are welcome to communicate your views, comments or suggestions regarding any of the topics below:
- Academic
- Career
- Facilities
- Others
In addition, if there is anything not listed above that relates to student life at HKUST-SBM, we are happy to hear your thoughts and address your concerns. All feedback collected will be kept in strict confidence.
